Vogue Behind the Mask
During the lockdown, India’s leading fashion magzine Vogue collaborated with
Manish MaLhotra for their philanthropic ‘Behind the Mask’ project. Through this association, Manish Malhotra designed four masks. One is an ode to classic Bollywood (Mughal-e-Azam era, to be specific), the next a reference to 90s blockbusters, the third is the unfinished mask that represents 2020. The late 70s disco culture inspires the fourth one, directly inspired by the psychedelic crystal ball. The masks created a frenzy and were enormously well received by the fans.
